I have a Notebook computer on which I have made a Window’s ghost image of 1. I want to reduce the size of the image in order to transfer it on my IGB USB and then burn it on a CD. Is there any software to reduce the size of image file?2. Please explain the method or procedure to transfer data from a laptop to a desktop computer… However this is a bit risky and even a small scratch can damage any of the CDs and kill the ghost. Why don’t you try connecting the two together? Connecting two PCs or a PC to a laptop directly is a relatively simple process. For starters both PCs need to have properly installed Ethernet adapters (Lan Cards). Please ensure that when you do install them the device driver for the NIC should be loaded and the Device Manager reports it as enabled and working. Next you will need to configure each adapter with a static IP address and a common Subnet. For our example we will assign the first PC an IP address of 192.

It is still obviously from a camcorder — with grain and odd colors especially around bright light sources. For most people with widescreen TVs the SD widescreen setting will do fine. It will fill up your screen without filling up your computer (assuming you do digital editing of your video). ne other downside is the random assortment of ports and buttons. I’m still finding hidden port covers here and there. It would be nice if all the buttons were in one place and all the ports were as well. It would also be nice to use the FireWire port for all data in and out of the camera.

How to back up iPod?
Geekzone – Nov 24, 2007
Simply re-sync it (maybe delete the partnership first) and everything should reappear after a long first sync. iPod + iTunes is designed to have a library of stuff on the PC and a copy of that on the iPod. Changes go both ways but the PC always holds the master copy. Delete all the stuff of your PC it disappears off your iPod next sync.

IDA to spend S$2.5m to get senior citizens connected to the internet
Channel News Asia – Nov 24, 2007
Now this is the first of such hubs with seven more expected to be up and running within the next three years. Besides the elderly Dr Balakrishnan said children and the disabled will also be helped to get connected. IDA is extending its NEU PC programme which has helped to equip 24000 needy households with a computer bundle to introduce an extra mile of financial support called iNSPIRE Fund. This will help children under the programme who are still unable to co-pay the subsidised computer and broadband bundle of S$285. Dr Balakrishnan said: “We will tell these children that it will still not be free because if it’s free they won’t appreciate it but if you perform community service do something useful for others or work with VWs or do some significant service we will give you credits and you can exchange those credits for a S$285 voucher which will then give you computer and internet access. IDA’s iNSPIRE Fund will be administered by the Children’s Society. And by the middle of next year Dr Balakrishnan says an Infocomm Accessibility Centre to train the disabled will be up and running.

Five Ways to Share Music Without Getting Sued
Washington Post – Nov 24, 2007
And thanks for sharing. We do have a few caveats of course. In most cases you are limited to streaming music to your PC or handset not downloading it. A couple of sites permit you to upload your own tunes for others to enjoy but they don’t work with DRM-protected music. In other words there’s nothing to stop you from sharing MP3 files that you downloaded illegally (and you know who you are you naughty little monkeys). But music you purchased from the iTunes store–or ripped from a CD using the iTunes software? No can do. The world’s largest social music network is built around what it calls “scrobbling… 75 for shipping and handling. But Lala is also a digital music service. So you can take the CD you just got rip it into MP3s upload the tunes to Lala and access them from any Net-connected computer or sync them to your iPod. r you can cruise other Lala members’ playlists stream 30-second samples to your PC and get recommendations from the popular Lala forums. If you discover a CD that you like so much you can’t wait for a trade you can buy it through the Lala store. In many instances the site will automatically add the appropriate MP3s to your Lala playlist so you can listen to them without delay. As its name impliesiLikeis more about sharing tastes than about swapping tunes.
