PC World – Dec 26, 2007
Weaknesses: Can’t play computer speakers while AC adapter or USB plugged into device. verall Evaluation: I was looking for something for my wife to use as a base for her sansa e260. This works well for single use… Now I can simply drop the sansa into the station to charge the player to play music over external speakers and to receive Rhapsody downloads or podcasts. I will now take the other USB cable in my computer bag for business trips. No more crawling under desks!1.
LCD Bests Plasma When Using a PC
U.S. News & World Report – Dec 26, 2007
While LCDs have a long history as monitors for laptops and desktops plasmas weren’t designed to work with PCs and can be a hassle to set up. So far it has not been a big issue because only a small percentage of homes has tried to connect a TV to a computer which hobbyists call an HTPC for Home Theater PC. It will get more important as Hollywood productions increasingly move to the Web.

I have a 450 watt in so I went lower for a 350 nothing happend I then went up to a 500 watt again nothing happend. At first I was thinking that it was the power supply but now I am thinking its the motherboard. The computer doesnt respond to anything no power at all no response and I was running windows XP Pro at the time. Thanks for any help or suggestions on this I really need my comp back… Dec 26 2007 4:03 PM. If any one of them work in the second computer you have eliminated a Power Supply failure. Now the chance of you having three separate Power Supplies that are dead is very slim so at least one of them should get the second computer running. nce you have confirmed that you do not have a Power Supply failure yes the processor is more than likely fried. Will a dead processor destroy your entire system probably not.

Washington Post – Dec 26, 2007
The S itself wasn’t bad–in factwe gave Vista a positive review–but upgrading from an XP environment proved nightmarish for a lot of users. Starting in Januaryconsumers could purchase Windows Vista. But anyone who bought a laptop or desktop PC in late 2006 was automatically enrolled in theExpress Upgrade to Windows Vista coupon program entitling them to a free upgrade from XP to Vista. Unfortunately many Express customers discovered that there was nothing "express" about the upgrade. Consumers who tried to redeem their coupons ran into delays when thecompanies responsible for processing the Vista coupons were overwhelmedby demand and ill-equipped to deal with it. Many people had to wait months to get their Vista upgrade disc. But consumers’ Vista woes didn’t stop there: Some people who upgraded from XP decided thatVista wasn’t all that Microsoft made it out to be… Among other things the year witnessed one of the largest digital data thefts ever: Hackersstole the names and credit card informationof an estimated 45. 6 to 94 million customers of department store owner TJX.   The hackers gained access to TJX’s computer systems by eavesdropping on the department stores’ poorly protected Wi-Fi networks. The breach prompted numerous calls for stronger data-protection laws. Also in 2007 things went from bad to worse forvictims of so-called bot networks. In January the Storm Worm emerged; it went on to become 2007’s biggest PC security threat. The name "Storm Worm" is a bit of a misnomer because the malware is actually bot software thatcorrals infected computers into a botnet–a network that executes commands issued by a central criminal controller.
Dec. 26 1982: Time ’s Top Man? The Personal Computer
Wired News – Dec 26, 2007
In 1982 the number doubled again. In winning the nod from Time the PC beat out some formidable competition including Ronald Reagan (who would be named twice) Britain’s Margaret Thatcher and Israel’s Menachem Begin. But as the magazine opined: “There are some occasions though when the most significant force in a year’s news is not a single individual but a process and a widespread recognition by a whole society that this process is changing the course of all other processes. As we sit here typing this that’s a hard argument to refute. (Source: Time magazine).

Weaknesses: I just kept getting error message while installing the drivers. Could have been an isolated problem with my computer only but I had to give up sometime. verall Evaluation: Look I’m not the smartest guy in the world but not the dunbest either. While loading the software I can’t tell you the barage of error meeages I was getting. (Running Windows XP)I did everything that was requested. Disabled my firewall anti-virus spy-ware… I tried to load on two different Vista pc configurations. both failed with the same error code(not in trouble shooter list) very poor rude support from logitecverall Evaluation: So to make it work: You have to disable a whole load of start up functions disable your firewall etc. You do not have to do this with Canon or other similar software which loads fine. Error code not in trouble shooter support say its an issue with Vista.
