All of the mods that were mentioned were for the 5th Gen. Does anyone know if these hacks work with other iPods? I have a 5th Gen. 30GB iPod Video and I wanted the Touch Hack but not sure if it will work… yes that was the article i was refferring to. Last night i tried doing those modifications just like the article had said. Somehow i dont know how but somehow something went wrong and i had loaded and saved the firmware to my computer before i started. But somehow it did not work. So i tried to undo it. I tried using the Downgrade firmware method in iPodWizard and that didnt work. So then I tried writing the original firmware back onto the iPod but that didnt work either.

We’re talking about computer memory here although TechMan can tell you that as time passes his own memory is more and more in need of an upgrade. RAM (or random access memory) is stored on memory chips in the “guts” (also known as the motherboard) of the computer. A newer home computer usually has 1GB (gigabyte) or 2GB of RAM. Don’t confuse memory with the amount of data that can be kept on a hard drive. That is also measured in GB but is more properly referred to as “storage… com) will walk you through the process of determining exactly what you need. • If your computer is running slowly adding RAM may be the answer especially if it is an older computer with 1 GB of RAM or less. To find out how much memory a Windows PC has go to start menu settings control panel system and the general tab. For a Mac go to the Apple menu and “About this Mac. • Installing RAM is not hard. I don’t have space for a detailed explanation and computers are different but basically you remove a stick or two of RAM from channels on the motherboard and snap in a new one or two sticks. Be sure it is seated (in the channel correctly and tightly) and don’t force it or you might crack the motherboard (a very bad thing).

Debt-Gorged British Start to Worry That the Party Is Ending
New York Times – Mar 22, 2008
As the perception of wealth grew the social stigma around debt disappeared. Borrowing became such an accepted part of life that today one in five teenagers does not consider being in debt to be a bad thing a survey by Nationwide Building Society showed. Debt levels increased further as it became easier to get loans and retailers like computer chain PC World offered both goods and the loans to buy them. Consumers happily accepted thinking that as long as they were deemed creditworthy they were not in danger of defaulting. Andy Davie is a case in point. Even after he had racked up £70000 in personal debt trying to keep his fruit and vegetable business afloat credit card issuers kept increasing his credit limits. “You tend to use credit to pay for credit and as far as the banks are concerned you are fine” said Mr.

com) in Sunnyvale CA to recycle some old cases and gaze at the antiques (Mac Ataris etc. ) If you’re up for a blast from the computer past (with usable purchasable stuff) it’s a great place to visit when you’re in the bay area. It was then off to Fry’s were I got a incredible deal on an admittedly outdated but still viable Abit IB9 to replace an ersatz motherboard on my main testbed. Frys didn’t have any of the new 2xxx Core 2 Duos for some odd reason. For the price those are some spunky little CPUs though not in the same league as the QX9775s one of you will be winning. I won’t lie–they’re bound to be fairly steep. But as much as it pains me to say it you can break up my labor of love (and monetary recompense!) sell of a couple of parts and still have a super kickin’ system. 99 plus shipping) that’s perfect for the hex-head screws on the old-school IBM Model M (clackity-clack) keyboards.
